When we heard that a group of investors were planning to open Seattle’s first recreational marijuana superstore inside the Experience Music Project (EMP) we were surprised. When they asked us to help with the branding we were totally stoked.
Welsh&Co. developed the name “Mary Jane’s Cloud”, as well as the identity, business card and signage, with a nod to the 60’s but with a distinctly modern sensibility. At the store’s soft opening in mid March, the response was a uniform, “Far out, man” and the team expects a blowout at the grand opening on April 1.
In addition to the smaller EMP, the new superstore will share space with a new Top Pot Doughnuts.
